TRUST
| In sociology and psychology, the degree to which one party trusts another is a measure of belief in the honesty and competence of the other party.
Some philosophers argue that trust is more than a relationship of reliance. They have made a difference between trust and reliance by saying that trust can be betrayed, while reliance can only be disappointed. In psychology, trust is believing the person who you trust to do what you expect. It starts with family and grows to others. At Grace Home, we aim to build relationships of trust with all residents, their families and among staff. We will always be honest with residents, their families and each other. We understand that our residents need not only trust our staff, but rely on them as well. Our staff must also be able to trust and rely on each other; to do their jobs well, be competent, show up for all shifts (and on time) and to assist each other when needed. Open communication and complete honesty is expected at Grace Home to build and maintain relationships of trust.
