Family usually infers a group of people, related through blood, marriage and/or adoption. The "nuclear" family is thought of as a mother, father and their biological and/or adopted children. Extended family includes grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins etc., and may also include very close family friends who have come to feel just like a member of the family. In Grace Home, we strive to make each resident feel as though they are a member of our extended family. This familial feeling in our home in no way replaces the families of the residents, but rather provides further love, encouragement and support in addition to that received from their families.
